Download free Driver Lexmark X2695 Printer

The Lexmark X2695 Inkjet, a poorly performing business all-in-one, but good for home use. Does it satisfy your needs?

The Lexmark X2695 Inkjet is an all-in-one with 26 pages per minute black and white print speed and 19 ppm color print. Looking coldly, we are not satisfied with the numbers for use in business. However, we believe the device could be good for offices. Black and white image resolution averages over competitors (1200 x 1200 dpi) and above average in color (4800 x 1200 dpi). The monthly print cycle, however, is a real disappointment: 3,000 pages. The copy speed is exactly the same as the print speed: 26 pages per minute in black and white and 19 ppm in color. On this printer, you can copy up to nine pages at one time. However, the duplex function is not integrated, so you will have to flip the sheet manually if you want to copy on both sides. The manufacturer did not say the scanning speed, but this varies depending on the settings chosen. The scan resolution is 600 x 1200 dpi. In advanced mode, scanning exceeds 19,200 x 19,200 dpi. This printer can be installed either via USB or the CD that came with the product. This device is compatible with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems. The only connection present is the USB 2.0 port.

Install the printer driver computer

Install a printer on your computer if you do not have the installation disc. You can usually do this using a USB cable that came with the printer,

Installing and updating printer driver updates enables your machine to enable the system to realize its full potential, which certainly guarantees its best performance. So always be aware of driver compatibility and updating so you can get the most out of your printer.

Using a USB cable in Windows

Place the printer near the computer. Most printers come with very short specific USB cables, which make a direct connection between the printer and the computer. Both need to be close to each other to connect the USB.

Connect the printer's USB cable to the computer. It must be plugged into one of the USB ports on the side (laptop or notebook) or on the back or front of the case (desktop).

  • You may need to plug the non-USB end of the cable into the printer.
  • When the printer does not have a USB cable, buy one before continuing. Look for the printer model number along with the inscription “USB cable”. If there is no USB cable available for the printer, you will need to install the driver manually.

Turn on the printer. Press the power button Image titled Windowspower.png of the printer to turn it on. After you press the button, wait about a minute before continuing.

  • In many cases, when you turn on the printer after connecting it to the computer, the printer installation window will appear. When this happens, follow the onscreen instructions until the printer is installed.
  • When you connect the printer to your computer and the installation window does not appear, continue reading this method.

- Go to the "Start" menu Image titled Windowsstart.png. Click on the Windows logo in the bottom left corner of the screen. The Start menu will open.

- Type Printers and Scanners in the search bar. Doing so will search the “Printers and Scanners” section on your computer.

- Click Printers and Scanners. You will see the option at the top of the search.

- Go to Add a printer or scanner. It is at the top of the window and contains a "+" sign beside it.

Click the name of the printer that is connected. It has to appear in the "Add a printer or scanner" window. Clicking on the option will display the printer installation window.

  • If the printer name does not appear, click the "The printer I want is not in the list" link, select a search option, and follow the onscreen instructions. You may have to download the printer software before continuing.

Follow the installation steps displayed on the screen. Each printer will have a different installation process. When installation is complete, the printer should operate normally.

Using a USB Cable on Mac

Make sure your printer is compatible with your Mac. Not all printers can be used on a Mac. Before you spend hours trying to install a printer on your Mac, look for the printer's name and model to see if it is compatible.

See if you have a USB adapter (if necessary). Most newer Macs do not have traditional USB ports, but smaller USB-C ports. In this situation, you will need an Apple USB to USB-C adapter to connect the USB cable to your Mac.

Connect the printer's USB cable to your Mac. It should be plugged into one of the USB ports on the side (MacBook) or on the back of the iMac (desktop) screen.

  • When you need to use an adapter, plug it into the USB-C port first, and then plug the cable into the USB adapter.

Turn on the printer. Press the power button Image titled Windowspower.png of the printer to turn it on.

Click Install when prompted. The Mac will automatically detect the printer and set whether or not it needs to be updated. The update window will appear if it is the first time you install the printer on your Mac.

Follow the onscreen procedures. Go through the printer installation steps to install the latest software and drivers on your Mac. Once the installation is complete, you can use the printer as normal.

Downloading the software: Select a location to save the file if the window of choice appears.

Unzip the software folder if you are using Windows. Just double click on the folder, two more clicks on the installation file, go to "OK" when the window pops up, choose a location to save the file, and finally click "Extract here ..." to unzip the folder.

  • Mac users can double-click the folder to open it.
  • If the downloaded file is already unzipped, skip this sub-step.

Double click on the software installation file. On Windows computers, you must first open the new unzipped folder and double-click the .exe file. Mac users only need to double-click the installer file (probably a DMG file) to run it.

  • When using a Mac with Sierra MacOS operating system, you may need to check the driver before continuing the process.

Follow the instructions on the screen. The window that will appear after running the software installation file will vary depending on the operating system and the printer in general. That said, just follow the onscreen instructions until the installation is complete.

Try connecting the printer to the computer. If your printer has a USB cable, plug it into your computer to see if it recognizes the printer. When the printer connects over Wi-Fi only, make sure it and the computer are connected to the internet. With everything correctly set up, you can use the printer.
